Canvas Groups are where we live out our calling as community. They are the "extended families" of kairos that meet together throughout the week. Canvas Groups likely share a meal together, discuss the sacred text, share their lives, and pray together.
Our Canvas Groups gather together once a week to communally participate in worship, in teaching, and in the Lord's Supper, in what we call our Weekly Gathering.
Equippers are cultural architects who help the congregation dance between identifying with and challenging the culture of their neighborhood. Equipping takes place in the classroom and the living room, the sanctuary as well as the streets. Peter says we are all priests [I Peter 2:9 TNIV]. Each person in the body of Christ is a disciple who is uniquely made by God with particular gifts, personalities, passions, talents and experiences. Equippers are servants who understand that they are ministers to other ministers, helping each disciple fulfill their ministry in the church and in the world for the sake of the world.
