
The East Hollywood Neighborhood Council, formed in March 2002 and certified as an official neighborhood council on April 19, 2007, is the neighborhood council for the diverse, dynamic and unique community of East Hollywood. It is home to Los Angeles' designated Thai Town and Little Armenia neighborhoods, as well as large numbers of other immigrant groups such as Mexicans, El Salvadorans, Guatemalans, Filipinos, Koreans, South Americans, Ukrainians, Russians and many more. This community also comprises of a youthful community where 64% of its residents are under the age of 40, as well as a heavy renter population of 88%.
Some members of kairos los angeles helped to get the council certified in 2007, and also Caleb Larson and JR Woodward serve on the governing board. Caleb is the Youth Representative and JR is the District 5 board member.
YOU are a "stakeholder" if you live, work, own property, attend school, are a member of a faith organization, or are a staff or board member of a community-based non-profit organization that provides services in East Hollywood.
